I finally got round to visiting the Guo Pei exhibition at Vancouver Art Gallery tonight and it was incredible! Her works are mind-blowing with thousands of hours worth of intricate embroidery and embellisents.
She’s most famous in the western world for Rihanna’s Met Gala dress in 2015... (aka the meme ‘pizza dress’ or ‘omelette dress’).
If you’re in town I definitely recommend a visit!
I kept seeing that as I walked by the Vancouver Art Gallery on my visits to Vancouver, but was always on my way somewhere else. I’m sorry I didn’t get by there. Thanks for posting and I will let my daughter know about it.
