Thames Barrier

The Thames Barrier on an unusually bright, hot February day. Near the centre of the structure, one of the gates is raised, probably for maintenance, as it normally resides on the river bed.

How interesting! I had never heard of the Thames Barrier. I had to look it up. I found a youtube video of it closing the barriers. Great shot!
