My friend Pam almost stepped on this baby, it was only maybe an inch and a half around. I moved it to the side of the path and then worried that maybe it had been trying to go to the OTHER side. Three good things:
1. Watson did not try to eat it
2. We walked three and a half miles
3. I remembered to wear my sunscreen
Such a cute little turtle! I'd wonder the same thing about which side s/he wanted to be on. But then, it can always attempt another crossing. Like your three good things.
@happypat It is, and it is called a Painted Turtle. @peggysirk it was on a well traveled bike and hike trail, I didn’t want it to get smooshed, I hope it stayed on the side I chose.
