Another attempt at my get pushed challenge to "take a summer photo filled with color, ask yourself the question "what is summer to me?" Well....if I'm not at work and all the morning yardwork is done, I finally have time to just kick it and read. Summer in Phoenix is like winter to me. I spend way more time indoors when it's 115F outside.
Also, my attempt at the artist challenge.
very cool..I like it

There's a lovely relaxed, fresh feel to this. Interested to know your thinking behind the white borders and how you went about creating them.

This is nice Krista and the one-image triptych certainly mirrors Hilliard's work... nice one.

Such a cool calming self portrait. Was not familiar with Hilliard's work. Thank you for introducing me to his work. I grew up in Boston area near Lowell, MA.

Darn -- I totally missed this. Would you like a different challenge as I'm happy to suggest other options.

AND, this is great -- did you use a single shot or three different ones?
July 14th, 2014
@taffy @taffy No, no, it's fine. I'll totally do another as I was meaning to do it again but I want to do one a little more creatively. And it was just one photo. Maybe I'll layer or something next....

@blueberry1222 Great -- I'll look forward to seeing it. The ones I did used one photo but by the third one, I think I was making a better choice of what the photo needed to have (in thirds). I was hoping to try one this week using three photos so will enjoy watching what you do.
