gooseberry

it's a race against time....I planted gooseberry seeds way too late in the season and these little guys are going for it but I think that the frost will get to them before the fruit makes it. I've never grown these guys successfully yet.

these are either cape gooseberries, or looking a bit like tomatillos... I can only grow them in a greenhouse, and mine is still not ressurrected after the Easter storm so they will struggle this year.

they will overwinter if you keep them out of the frost...

@kali66 Cape goosberry, you are right! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physalis_peruviana I tried covering them last year and they didn't come back, so these are new seeds. They are a little bit bigger this year, so maybe it will be a stronger plant? Hoping!
