Harbour Lights

Thank you all for your very kind comments on yesterday's photo!

Caught up on some much needed sleep last night. Left work early to catch the last bit of daylight (it's dark now by 5 pm) and take some shots of North Shields Harbour from the other direction to last Friday (28 October). Ah, but sometimes all best laid plans don't quite work out that way. Instead it started raining and I ran back to my car - and thoroughly enjoyed wedging my little table tripod between steering wheel and dashboard to steady the camera and take some shots of the rain and lights through the windscreen :-) My little tripod has really proven itself in the most peculiar settings. Maybe I should start a series of pictures in my second album to document those set-ups ;-)

Hope you enjoy the results!
Love the bokeh, great shot.

That's lovely - on the home page I couldn't work it out but large it's really good! The reflected light in the raindrops is really special.
(Thinks: a small tripod... hm that might save me jamming myself & camera against a solid surface...)

@woot Thanks! It was good fun, especially as you stay dry at the same time. I think I tried every one of my lenses to get the right distance and focus for the bokeh ;-)
