My sisters and I usually spend Christmas Eve morning setting up the nativity under the Christmas tree. This does involve trying to remember which of the two stables was used the previous year so the other one gets a fair outing...My mum will have collected some moss and shrubbery in the woods a couple of weeks beforehand and keeps some sand at hand. The old original figurines need to be unwrapped carefully and one or two of the sheep sometimes need to get their fragile legs straightened so they won't fall over every time you look at them. I love building the nativity and using all the little figures and extras we've collected over the years.
Had a lot of catching up to do with my own Christmas preparations this year, so spent the morning wrapping my presents while my two sisters did a wonderful job on the nativity!
Went to a Christmas service in the afternoon before being allowed to unwrap our pressies. The vicar clearly wanted to make sure I wouldn't get withdrawal symptoms and the choir actually sang two English Christmas carols! Plenty of lovely traditional German ones to sing along to though :-)
Just starting to catch up on my Christmas shots and will try not to flood your feeds. Hope you all had a wonderful break. Thanks for all your comments. Will be catching up with all your lovely shots very very soon!!
