Eat Your Greens!

I just love asparagus! I prefer the white one, that's our regional seasonal veg back home in Germany. But I'll take this one in the meantime. Five a day and all that! These are now safely in tomorrow's lunch box.

I prefer the green - we have a large bed of asparagus on our allotment. They said on the radio today that asparagus can grow as much as 10 inches in one day! It does grow very fast once it starts.
