Standing Still by bmnorthernlight

Standing Still

TGIF! that was a long week...but yay, a three day weekend for some standing still (and apparently some snow...) is just around the corner!

Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments and generous faves on my Birds on a Wire! I do so appreciate all your feedback, comments and views. The birds are a bit excited about landing on PP thanks to you all :-) Have a great weekend!

Port of Blyth, Northumberland

Someone told me these wind turbines are due to come down in the next week. I hadn't seen them working in quite a while. Couldn't find out if they will be replaced with new ones or not...
Those silken ripples are working overtime... leading the eye out to the horizon and beyond... you've captured that light beautifully.

I am a liker for the old wind turbines. So a fave for this shot. I have never seen them so close to the water although they are actually going to put some out at sea off the coast here in Brighton. As I was driving back from Cornwall yesterday evening I was wondering were people so anti pylons when they first started bringing electricity round the country 'so ugly...blight on the landscape'.I imagine they were just grateful they were getting electricity though if they had known how expensive it would get...... There are so many wind turbine haters.
