This year I gave up on the gardening and gave nature free reign as all attempts were either eaten by slugs and snails or drowned by the endless downpours...so now something beautiful is flowering just outside my bay window!
Ah, these will grow anywhere, very reliable! I gave a friend a couple of tiny seedlings to 'block the view of his oil tank' - he thought I was taking the mickey until they grew huge the next year! Cut it back really meanly in the spring (I think) and it will really make it worth your while :)
