Sir James Knott Memorial Flats, Tynemouth

A beast of a building with the most spectacular views across the mouth of the Tyne, North Shields and South Shields harbour. The flats were built in the early 1930s mainly for seafaring families and included many features to withstand German air raids.

Nice pov and good old South Shields gets a mention! I used to live there - my Dad had a small corner shop there.
