This was the view from the deck of the lovely apartment my Aunt and Uncle rented in Amalfi. I was lucky enough to spend 9 nights with them in May 2015. We woke each morning to the sound of church bells. The apartment over looked the piazza and we watched wedding, funeral precessions and countless tourists enter the church. The cathedral is a 9th century Roman Catholic structure.
