Went to see this play at Stratford Theatre with my good friend T. The theatre is really lovely. Small but perfectly formed with a lot of character.
The play was about a black girl who grew up thinking that black wasn't beautiful and in order to fit in she had to compromise herself in some aspects. She wondered what was wrong with being called an Oreo biscuit as 'they're so tasty'. She aspired to be the best dancer so there's lots of dancing and singing throughout. There are some laugh out loud moments - especially in the second half of the play. It was enjoyable.
