In other news, it was options evening at Cookie's secondary school. He's only in year 8 but they're deciding on their options a year early so instead of studying their options for the required two, they're going to be doing it for three instead. It's a lot to think about but truly, do 12 and 13 year olds know what they want to do at this age?
My eldest is in year nine and is waiting to see if he gets his subjects. He's all mapped out and knows what he wants - swimmer - swim coach - eventually move to America. Kinda scary how it suddenly came together for him. But I suspect a lot of kids this age have no idea. It's so much pressure for them to get their choices right. To think your boy is choosing in year eight is scary. Hope it goes well for him. Nice shot by the way 😊

@paul10 It's good to have goals and aspirations and it sounds like your boy knows exactly what he wants to do. I know at this age that I changed my mind a few times. And there's this English Baccalaureate (Ebacc) that they're doing now. You want to guide them in the right direction but ultimately it is their decision.
