i found this almost all covered up turtle eggs on a beach so i counted them there were 7 all together when you look closely you see one egg is on top of another were you just see a little bit of it.
What an amazing find, Bruni! I hope you didn't disturb the nest! I used to have egg-laying desert tortoises in my yard, and I'd bring the eggs in to incubate after they were laid. It was critical to mark the top with a dot & keep them in that position as the embryo has to remain in the position its laid until it hatches. I gave my hatchlings the best of care, and many grew, but I finally gave them to a good home. I fussed over them too much and it was difficult to find anyone who'd give them that same attention when we traveled! They were a real pleasure to have around, back in those days...
I just finished a novel that takes place in Charleston. SC. One of the main characters is known as the "turtle lady" as she has made it her life's work to help save the loggerheads. I enjoyed the book. In case you are looking for a fun read, it's called: The Beach House by Mary Alice Monroe. If you read it, you'ill learn a lot about turtles and their nesting habits...along with the great lengths a small group of dedicated people go through to help save them.
Thank you for sharing more of the story about the eggs! So glad to read that they're collected to keep them safe!
I just rechecked my Yahoo email acct...nothing... Weezilou1@yahoo.com don't know what else to suggest; I'd love to see what you're trying to send me! I promise I'd let you know immediately if it would arrive!
Thanks for all your comments! What I meant when I said I used one photo for 2 challenges (In this case, I'm referring to the 3 legs of a tripod photo) ..I only posted 1 photo for the day (as that is all we are allowed to post unless we are an ace and then we can have up to 3 albums) but my 1 photo fit in 2 challenge categories and so I tagged it that way "theme-reflections" and "number-3" Does that make sense?
Just read your recent posts...I think (but am not even sure!) the other reflection you see in the car window might be the car window on the other side...it really is hard to tell, isn't it?
Hi Bruni...Would you believe I "never wanted to be on Face Book because I didn't want to have to chat with everyone!" My daughter now teases me, reminding me that I said that (she sees how much I "chat" here!) Do you ever put up your videos on youtube.com? I use that...again, I'm Weezilou1 if anyone wanted to see what I posted. (Not sure if you can find someone by name)
It just struck me, it's very possible your email aren't coming through if the attachment is more than 10 megabites. It's very possible if would be too large. Drop me a note without the attachment if you want to see if that's what's causing the problem.
We were feeding the squirrels again today, & I was standing right next to a squirrel eating a peanut on the fence. Too late, I told my husband I wished I'd had a picture with my face next to him...would have made a good new profile picture! Maybe another day! Thanks Bruni!
Thanks again, Bruni, for all your posts. I wish I had know the "what in the world' challenge was coming up b/c I think that photo of my fog light would have been a good one for that challenge!
Hi Louise ok i will send an e-mail without the videos but they were not that long i posted some on facebook which were a lot bigger anyhow we shall see what happens.

I love it!
Will you go back and see of you can catch them hatching?
