we have some sparrows making this bird house their home the second time around. last year we had a woodpecker who was trying to fit in by pecking away on the entrance to make it bigger but decided against it and then it sat there empty until a pair of sparrows made it their home and raised a new family. i wonder if these are the same birds coming back to the same location.
What a lovely collage, Bruni! You got some great actions pictures of the birds! So this is all to themselves without the squirrels for an afternoon!
Thanks for the comments on my pictures! Nice to know someone took the time to have a look. I left a long answer to your questions with the Lunenburg sign. Thought this would make it easy for you to get back there. http://365daysintheyear.shutterfly.com/631
I'm so delighted to see you enjoyed looking through all the pictures, Bruni! I have a lot of friends back home who ask me to put up photos for them to see over the summer, so it's probably a bit of overload for 365 poeple who have so many other pictures to look at. But you seemed to have enjoyed them, and it must mean more to you, being a Canadian location.
It was so interesting to learn you were from Hamburg originally!
Most of my pictures today are of our friends, Mike & his partner John (that was Mike I ran into in the funeral photos!) We drove an hour up to costco in Halifax and had a great time together. Next Sunday (next week) we're going to get together for a lobster dinner! Let me tell you how much I'm looking forward to that! I think because it's a small town (and we're only here for the summer) we have a very active social life here! We really love all our Candian friends (though many of them are from elsewhere in the world originally!)
Bruni, I know what you mean about men in uniform...and though these guys were handsome, they are what is known as "midshipmen" at the academy which means they are undergrads aged 18-22 ...but when I was on the tour I saw a really handsome admiral...oh, my, much more suited to my age! LOL
this collage is fantastic!!! I love the background too...

bruni, thanks a lot for all the catch-up comments! the door photo yesterday had very little editing from the original photo, i just saturated it a bit, otherwise the colour is a bit pale. thanks for asking!
