It looks like we have another guest. when i happened to look out of our screen door this morning i thought i saw something, took a second look and there it was a little bird sitting in front of the door as if it wanted to come in. never seen any of his kind before around here. hope we will see it again. i looked through our book Birds of North America and found this page. i do believe it is a yellow-throated warbler. it says it likes pinewoods and water. we have a pine tree right outside where our bird feeders are hanging and the lake is only 5 houses away there is also a pond on the property. i will keep my eyes open and my fingers crossed.
that is a wonderful looking bird ! thanks so much for your compliments on my wedding photos and my son! yep, he is 14. i am old enough, and that little profile pic does a good job of hiding my age ! ahaha
You are becoming the bird lady, Bruni! Love this new kid on the block!
Bruni, thanks for your comments and for taking time to look at the Flickr potos too. I had so much fun spending some time with my grandson this weekend!
Bruni...I was just reading some of your other comments and to answer your question about the "Physical" photo where I had blood tests...I took the photos myself...luckily I am right handed and they took blood from my left ;-)
Bruni, this is a beautiful bird! I like the collage, too:o). I really like that you included the page from the book. Thank you for your kind comments, I do enjoy exchanging comments with you!
Bruni, to get you photo into the discussion thread (Stunning photo thread), if you look to the right of the page where you are viewing your picture and scroll down a bit, next to the comments box there is a box that show how views and Tools and Share copy the code in the box under share and paste it into your comment on the desired thread. Hope this helps.
beautiful bird collage. I like that you were able to look it up and tell us what it is--I wouldn't know where to begin. Thanks for all your comments. I'll post the recipe for the bread in the comments for the breakfast picture; it's a yeast bread. My husband is a perfectionist too which prabably explains why the wall is a s straght and true as it is. I don't think that the ginger needs to be sprouted before you plant it; I just usually only plant it once it does. I haven't planted any in awhile, so hopefully I can get it to grow. You can store it in the refrigerator, but then sometimes it gets moldy; if you need to store it for a long time (if you don't use it often), you can store it in the freezer and just let it defrost slightly so you can cut or grate off what you need and put it back in the freezer.
You've been getting such wonderful bird pictures! It only makes sense that you;'d have a bird book handy to learn the names of all that visit you!
I did enjoy the pictures of the candy house that you sent! I don't have a lot of free time (after getting together with friends, taking photos around town, and looking at pictures on 365!) to write email beyond comments with pictures. I also keep up a Shutterfly blog, so I've gotten very busy! I know you understand, but I'll always drop by to see your pictures here!
Hope you're enjoying this wonderful holiday. I'm having a quiet afternoon with Ken, working around the house, and finding a little 365 time as well. Shame on me for not spending more time out in the sun today!
I like this website to identify birds. With the blackish streaking on the breast, I think this is not the yellow throated warbler. http://identify.whatbird.com/obj/328/_/Magnolia_Warbler.aspx
