These locks are hanging rows on rows on a fence of a bridge where couples symbolize that their love for each other is under lock and key (the key they throw away) to let the world know that their love can't be broken. nice sentiment I thought but was informed by friends that thieves have started stealing a lot of them to sell for pocket money. this I find is a shame.
Hi Bruni. I like your photos and always look through them but don't always have time to make lots of comments. I've been really busy lately. This is a great photo. I've seen locks like this before, but never in such quantity.
Oh, wow! I absolutely love this! All those locks make for such a neat photo, and it's just perfect for the theme! What a shame some people feel the need to destroy things, even a symbol of someone's love.
Great photo for the theme. I love the storey behind this and it makes you wonder how it began? Was it just one lock? Shame that people have to spoil it by stealing them
What a cool idea. Haven't seen anything like that before. Nice one Bruni.
The concrete wall is one made out of cylindrical "cores" that they squash to make sure that the concrete is strong enough. The cores get thrown out, so this old theological college used them for a cheap wall!
Wow this is fabulous!! Where is this located? What a sweet idea, and too bad that some thief would ruin it for someone.
Re: caterpillars. Monarchs look the same after each shed, just a bit longer antenna but they keep the same stripes and colors. Swallowtails change each time as do many other caterpillars.
What an awesome thing to come upon! I love the sentiment behind it and would love to put my own lock up there! It IS a shame they are being stolen, but the sentiment of those that put it there will remain no matter what, I'm sure. This is an AWESOME photo for this week's theme! SUPER job! Where is this? This may need to be a place to put on my bucket list! :D
This is a very interesting and different photo. I love the appearance of all the locks on the fence -- love even more the story you included about what the locks mean. This pic is fabulous for the theme.
I first saw your locks on the Popular Page -- Congrats.
wow so cool! which bridge/city is this? i saw a similar setup in Sevilla, Spain and was told of the symbolism, but no one was sure exactly where it originated
Wow, this is very interesting. But depressing because of the thieves. how i wish there could be a security guard to roam around so as not to be stolen those pledge of unity of all the couples who are in love. Great shot on this. very colorful and definitely inspiring.
