At 8 am this morning while sitting at the computer with my cup of coffee I saw this shadow beneath the window..wouldn't you know it was a young raccoon. he was trying to climb up the tree but because we have put a piece of aluminum around it so that the squirrels won't always get at the bird feeders the raccoon had a hard time getting up the tree..... but he tried and tried again and finally made it... now of course came the fun part..he didn't know how to get down. I watched his antics for over an hour and out of desperation he finally dangled from the very outside of the lowest branch and dropped down. he was ok as he stayed around for quite a while yet..
awwwe, he is cute. I love the collage too! re: my shot, the 7 legged spider was actually green, I did need to use a flash for this, so the color is slightly brighter.
silly raccoon! ~~ we have the same kind of set up on one of our trees, put the aluminum around to keep the raccon from getting on the roof so that they won't tunnel through....again!
What an adorable collage, Bruni!! it's perfect for the theme! Poor raccoon - I am sure he didn't expect to have such a difficult climb! It made for a great photo opportunity, though! ;-))
Oh, Bruni, these shop are precious. How cool that you noticed the shadow and got out your camera! Re- the URL...this may be too basic but since the URL did not show up in your comment, allow me to ask...did you first highlight the URL and then go to EDIT/COPY....then you click where you want to paste it to get the cursor to show up...then EDIT/PASTE.
I'm not sure why the URL would disappear... Try highlighting the address (URL) and then right-click to get the "Copy" option. I did that on your photo's page here, and it looks like this: http://365project.org/bruni/365
What a *marvelous* series of photos, Bruni! I envy you the fun you must have had watching this little guy and his antics...your pictures...every one of them!...turned out so well! Thanks for sharing this delightful hour!
LOL. Nature does provide us with great entertainment, and with him being so darn cute, I would have been watching him too! There is a little black squirrel at work, that plays outside, on the tree next to my window, I find myself excited when he shows up, and I always watch him. Not so good for getting my work done, but hey, what can you say?!? I like the collage of him :-) Thanks for sharing!
This is a fun collage you have enjoyed with us -- silly, silly raccoon. At first he was having fun and at the end he was having fun -- but inbetween he had some scary moments.
@Allison...regarding your comment question ..you saw him before in a collage
