On our trip home we saw this firehall and while this week's theme is still on I took a picture of it. our trip was almost uneventful until we came to the QEW - Queen Elizabeth Way - a Trans Canda Highway. shortly after we saw signs stating that the Qeeny as we call the highway was going to be closed. this was at about 5 in the evening at rash hour but everyone continued driving and so did we.
first we thought maybe there was an accident and we were just moving slow as everyone had to take a look at what was going on. but no eventually the 4 lanes started merging and after 2 - 2 1/2 hrs it became a one lane which was now being redirected over country roads until we finally got back on to the Queeny. slowly at first but traffic picked up until it started raining and the driving became treacherous with very poor visiability. after 12 1/2 hours (we had to make a short stop in Toronto as we shared our ride with my girlfriend's sister in law who had been visiting) we finally arrived home at 9.30 pm. we still don't know if it was an accident or road repair which are usually done late at night and not at time of rush hour.
Great find and capture.Great for the theme to Glad to hear you get at last save home. Travel I detest it. Nex week I have to drive a 500 miles
Poor me.
@robinwarner Hi Robin we are back home and nothing but problems. after I received two of the scary e-mail from Marie I have trouble with my e-mail account..they won't let my in and our server doesn't know how come..they reset our password but they won't except it. wonder if there was a virus in the e-mail that came in from that woman Marie.
that's a beautiful shot, bruni. i had to look closely as i thought it was real then realized it was a mural. the little girl at the left threw me off thinking it was 'live'. this must be one of those murals i missed during my rounds last month. islington avenue has murals all over and they were magnificent.
@summerfield Hi.. thanks for your comment..i don't think you missed this picture ..it was taken in Atlantic City as all he last ones when we were on vacation there.
