This project was already on the drawing board for years... .advertised by Crates Marina for at least the last 2-3 years and now it finally looks like it might get started in 2012..I won't keep my fingers crossed. while it's less than an hour drive from Toronto and on on the lake.. that is Lake Simcoe.. I would think it should sell out pretty fast. so you ask me what happened here in the last 25-30 years since we had a cottage in this area? at that time I was still selling real estate right here in this little community and later we built here our home. the prices for lots at that time were around 5 - 7000 dollars and the highest priced home I sold in this area in those days was $35,000.00. by now this little cottage community has turned into a good size town. most working people commute toToronto or Barrie.. because there are hardly any building lots available and even less at the lake I thing these condos will sell out fast. I bet some people are getting tired of the hussle and bussle in the big Metropolis and willing to combine country living with the luxury of having their boats docked right right there at Crates Marina.
@karenann I can't afford it. the smalles unit starts with $ 420.000.00.
I'm happy in my home and I'm only 5 houses away from the lake anyway.
