Although this rock might not fit into the category of antiques it is non the less maybe million or even billions of years old cut out of the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountain Range when the road from Mazatlan to Durango was built. I believe in 1940.
@peterdegraaff we never got that far. we had rented a small car not realizing that there were no gas stations between Mazatland and Durango...so when we were over half way there we had to turn around not to run out of gas. our reason for driving there was the famous "Devil's back bone" a stretch of narrow road at the highest point of the Sierra Madre with a sharp deep drop on both sides. we missed it.
