For those NONE-AMERICANS who're not familiar with MADD - Mothers against drunk driving - it's a none-profit organization founded by Candice Lightner after her daughter was killed by a drunk driver. now since we're not allowed to use our cell phone while driving would we get a ticket if we used it for reporting a drunk driver by dialing the emergency number 911.
another picture from my series.
Well done, Bruni!! Great capture . . kind of sends a mixed message! Anyway, I would report the person. I know about MADD. I believe that Canada definitely is right by not allowing cell phone usage while driving. I'm afraid of people who talk and drive when their car is near me. Only takes a split second.
Karen I didn't realize that you don't have that law regarding not using cell phones while driving. you're suppose to get of the road/highway stop the car and then call. btw I was going to send you a breakdown of the fines but this program won't allow me to do so.
unfortunately you still see people using their cell phone and you're so right a split second and who knows how many people might get hurt.
PA has just enacted a no cell-phone while driving law. Now we'll see if they can enforce it. I can't tell you how many people have almost run into me because they were so busy talking and not paying attention. I guess you'll have to pull over to report the drunk driver- but that seems the safest way to go.
We have a no cell phone law in CA (you must use a hands free device). I am glad but it does not stop people from using their cell phones illegally (up to their ear) and texting is another nightmare as seeing eyes looking down is even a worse issue. Are earpieces allowed in Canada, Bruni.
