I took this picture last night and used my tripod for the very first time. I was pushed by Sally @salza to take a long exposure so I tried out one with a blur. took quite a few pictures with different settings and liked this one the best.
I like the foreground detail and the softness of the background. Gorgeous colours. Not quite what I had in mind when I gave you the challenge but I like it anyway! :-)
Beautiful colors and dof, Bruni ... wonderful focus. I get better pics when I use the tripod, but I'm just too lazy to put it up most of the time. And on here, who has the time?!!
@karenann Yes Karenann you're right about that. I've got the tripod for 2 years and it was the first time I used it..takes too much effort and time..I'm trying to figure our how to do my getpushed challane 7 as Sally said the one I posted was not what she had in mind for me... so I tried zoom blur and spent way too much time with it and what I came up with I don't think it's what she's looking for. in the meantime I could've posted pictures or get caught up with enjoying all my followers postings and do some commenting..once your behind I find it hard to catch up and I'm at home all day..housework is piling up although Hans helps an awful lot and still there isn't enough time in a day. well I'm not the only I'm sure.
love all your comments dear..keep them coming.
SAME thing is happening to me, Bruni. My wonderful husband has helped me so much with the cooking, etc. just so I could do this project. But it makes me feel guilty and bad for him. I've always been such a "neat freak." And I don't like to fall behind ...so yes, I never have enough time for all of it. And I started a new class again (photography) ... once a week for six weeks. Not difficult, but there are assignments to do. I couldn't begin to take on a challenge here tho. I'm starting to take a day or two off from here once in a while (and then get way behind!) :)
This is very pretty- the colors are so bright! I think perhaps that Sally is thinking of a long exposure that involves lower lighting- perhaps this same scene at dusk when people are starting to turn on their lights inside or the sun is setting and casting colors on the clouds in the sky. She might be looking for a subtle nuance in the way a long exposure picks up light and shadow as opposed to the type of setting you choose above. At least when I think of long exposure I always think of taking a picture of a candle in a dark room. The shutter has to remain open longer to capture all the light. Maybe that helps or maybe I'm putting words in Sally's mouth- but you know I always like to help, so hopefully this does!
@olivetreeann you know that I do appreciate your help and may I say that you are one of a few who I know read my narratives. I can tell by their/your reply to it.

Not bad for a first timer , what do I say, a great succeed . Well done
