Two pictures taken today of the same lilac tree - both tell a different story. the on the left is a bit of a mystery. already for quite awhile I noticed what looked like new buds. the lalac has finished blooming quite some time ago as you can see from the picture on the right. i've whatch the tiny buds grow into this size and today I thought why not take a picture of it. I know that they'll never make it to blooming stage but they're still hanging on.
@georgews Thank you George. actually the point I was going to make with this collage was that the buds had no business to be there after the lilac stopped blooming at end of June beginning of July. they were confused by the funny summer we had and will never bloom anymore as we are into Fall already. I took both picturess yesterday of the same tree.. as always Goeorge I do appreciate your comment.
all the plants are so confused this year. i am seeing the same things in my garden, too, Bruni. what an interesting photo. doesn't it just make you wonder what the spring will be like or if the plants will recover over the winter? fantastic capture.
What a great collage and nice find. Looks like you will have more flowers, how nice. With the cold and warm back and forth it is an unusual year for all of us. We are supposed to be up to 100 a few days this week and maybe on the weekend. Cool in the morning and late evening but too warm/hot mid day and blooms can happen. Enjoy and look forward to seeing your flowers.
Nice collage. I don't think I have seen lilac's before here or maybe I have. I'm going to the Toowoomba Flower show this coming weekend for some spring photo shots of flowers and anything else that takes my fancy. It's about a 3 hour drive from where I am heading out West. It should be a great festival, really looking forward to it!!
