Our red maple tree in front of the house has shed so many leaves already..they were all a dark brown but finally some of the leaves have turned color. yesterday when I took this picture the sun was out and I took another slow walk down to the lake. it was so nice and warm but today it's raining. I'm counting the days to Sunday when my darling daughter and her partner are returning from their cruise..they were away while I had my operation and I only got to talk to them once since I'm home..apparently the connection down in the islands was bad..once she tried 13 times on her cellphone to reach us here at home and it never rang.. hope by Sunday I'm well enough to go with Hans to pick them up from the airport.
so glad to read you are back home. please do not over do and get a lot a rest. this a beautiful shot, btw! it is nice and warm, here, too, and they say it will be most of the week but with rain for the weekend. no school on thursday and friday so i will be busy with felicity and mack. we are going to make halloween decorations and cookies.
Lovely colors of the leaves. I can't believe they are nearly gone now. I hope you are able to get plenty of rest so you can be well enough to pick up your daughter at the airport. That will be a great treat for you. Hoping you will be able to do that. If not, at least you will be able to spend time with her when she gets home. Lovely shot. Well captured.
Very pretty- our trees are at about the same stage. I was wondering how you're feeling- sounds like you are doing well and have something to aim for while you're on the mend!
What a beautiful shot, Bruni, I love all the Fall colors. We are still not having much in Fall colors and still have a lot of green leaves on the trees here. Did have a tornado hit 5 miles south of us and posted about it on Monday. I was catching up so posted a lot from our visit to the zoo before that post and still a couple of days behind. I hope you enjoy your Sunday with your daughter and her partner and hope you are up to picking them up with your husband. Take care.
@olivetreeann Ann so sorry to be so late with replying to your comment. so much has happened from the day my daughter came home. I never got to go to the airport and I didn't get to see her till the following Thursday, UTI infection,antibiotic that didn't agree with me, another A Fib., rushing to the hospital, swollen feet and ankles, got water pills, took one the first one right now while typing this and it all came up again. why does everything happened on the weekend when you can't get your doctor. so it looks like another trip to the emergency for me. sorry to burden you with all of this but I had to get it of my chest. my breathing is so laboured so I can't sleep lying down, sat up all night trying to sleep. was told my heart has to work too hard to get rid of the water and now I brought up the dissolved pill..so what am I to do?
@bruni Oh Bruni- I am so sorry that I did not see this comment until the 7th!! I do hope that you've improved since you wrote this. I can sense how frustrated you must be. It is so important to get sleep so I hope that issue has improved by now. I'll be remembering you in my prayers and hope that all is better now.
