A Saga by bruni

A Saga

We're having another busy day planned for today..so I had a good idea, at least I thought. I went to see what I posted in 2010 when we were also here for a visit and I picked this picture, changed the date so I can post it again. it had only 4 comments and none of the followers are still on 365. so please read about the sad saga.
"Today we took a boat trip up the river Rhein where we saw the most interesting landscapes on both sides of the Rhein. the 3 middle picture tell a story. the saga goes that the Graf von Drachenfels built a castle for his bride on the other side of the Rhein where she could look across to his castle through a stone gate overgrown by greenery. shortly after, so the saga goes, the Graf went to war and it was thought that he was lost as he didn't return. but some time later he did show up but by that time his bride had left her home to go down below her castle to the convent to become a nun. after the Graf finally returned and found out that she had become a nun he just sat by the window and looked over to the convent and grieved. it is told that shortly after they found him dead ...apparently of a broken heart."
A beautiful collage,,and what a sad tale, I have just been looking back at some of your previous photographs bruni I was wondering when I started following you?

@snowy Diana, I sometimes wish there were dates behind the name of our followers. I checked my calendar somewhere early in 2011 but didn't find a comments of yours but I think it's been quite a long time.
