Congratulations to them both! I'm glad they got a picture of the horse and carriage. The crazy mayor of NYC is trying to shut that industry down. What an idiot he is!! It is such a romantic thing to do!

Nice shot, Bruni! Congratulations to the both of them and to you as well! What a great way to propose! I have always wanted to go for a horse and buggy ride.

@olivetreeann You're right! The mayor is an idiot. People love them!

@olivetreeann Oh no, I bet so many your girls dream of a ride through Central Park may it be just for the fun of if or like in Britney's case for the most romantic proposal I could think of.

Thanks Bruni for directing me to this beautiful scene. How very special and romantic. Congratulations to them both

@olivetreeann I agree, Ann. I was infuriated when I read about that.

@cimes1 Such insanity! First he says that there is no place for this industry in the 21st century. I guess he's never been in love! Secondly he says that the treatment of these animals is barbaric. If you are making your living from an animal, you treat that animal with the best of care. These carriages are one of NYC's most iconic tourist attractions. The man is a complete idiot! Oh dear, I try to stay away from politics but this one just has the hairs on my neck standing up. How dare he decide how people can make a living? It will be interesting to see in New Yorkers will stand for it. They're a pretty feisty bunch when it comes to this sort of thing.

What a wonderful moment to capture. And lucky for them the horse-and-carriage opportunity is still there.
