Another one to identify

Yes, I saw another unfamiliar bird in our red maple tree in front of the house. (see the bud on the tree?) the bird made only a quick pit stop and off he went again. I already have my answer. Bev @prrtblues already identified him as a Baltimore Oriole.
Lovely bird and colours.

Great shot, Bruni!! This looks like a male Baltimore Oriole ( http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Baltimore_Oriole/id). Nice catch!

@prttblues Wow Bev, that was quick. thank you so much for taking a look right away and being able to name that bird. will have to check to see if this one was just on his way to another area as I`ve never seen one here before. nice looking, so colorful. wish he come back.

@bruni You're welcome, Bruni. It is pretty clear to me what he is. I looked at the wing markings on your photo. They are nearly identical. If you look at the map that is provided in the info about the bird you see that it's breeding time in your area now. I think it's cool that you found a new bird. That's like the Cedar Waxwings we have here this year that I've never seen here at my place in 14 years but I did see some in Norwich last year. If you ever need help, just email the photo you can't identify and I'll find out what it is and if I can't find it I will contact my lady. She is awesome.

I agree with Bev- it's an Oriole! If you want to keep them attracted to your yard, they really like orange wedges/slices. We have them here, but they prefer the canopy. I haven't tried the oranges yet, but I did see several clips on YouTube where they were flocking to decks and picnic tables with them put out for the birds. Nice shot Bruni!

@olivetreeann Thanks for the comment and advice, Ann. will try it. will first leave some on the deck railing in case they fly by and then on the patio table on the deck. I can see both when sitting at the my computer desk.
