But a good red that is! we had decided before summer to have our huge trees on the property (mostly in the back and side yard) removed. first of October, after waiting all summer, it was finally our turn and the job was started only to be broken off as the lead guy wasn't well and another fellow took over for him on that day. he managed to climb up and started sawing some branches off. but froze (angst) and they had to call the job off. So we waited a month and 3 days and today when I saw their red truck turning into the driveway, I was very happy to see them. of course I went out there a few times and took lots of pictures. tomorrow I'll show you the work in progress.
@digitalrn Rick, wishful thinking. this time most the of branches are off. three guys worked from 9 am to 4 pm and about half the job is done. hopefully we don't have to wait as long this time. time is running out weather wise.
@thresheg I don't thank you often enough for all the fav. on my pictures. so let me thank you for all of them. I do appreciate each and every single one. thank you.
Yay! So glad the tree cutters made it! Nice to see them in the driveway!! So are they going to run it through a wood chipper for your or what do they do with the trees and branches when they get cut down?

@prttblues I checked but maybe if you resend it I'll know which one you're taking about..I might have overlooked it. today a picture for you and a collage. the branches all went into the wood chipper. the bare trees are still standing. they didn't get the job done in 7 hours. now we have to wait again for the rest, cutting the trees down. all the wood goes over the neighbour's fence for him to burn either in a fireplace our outdoors. he has a fire going almost every night in his back yard. will take a picture later of the pile of wood.
I'm always sad to see any tree cut down, but in a neighborhood with many houses sometimes it just has to be done. My son just cut some down too. There were too many in one spot. I think they plan to turn theirs into flooring.
