Another rainy day - another filler.
The day we drove to our for our Thanksgiving get together I took a lot of various type of pictures on the way. we're losing more or more farmland into what I call " solar power farms".
here you see one under construction. next time we travel this road again, I'll see if the solar panels are up and will take a picture of them..
In one sense it is sad to see the crops go. (I really don't know how long people think we can keep shrinking our farms and still produce enough food!) But at least this land will still be open and not covered with condos or massive houses that will only have two people living in them. And that is my social commentary for the day!
Nice collage, Bruni. It's sad to see farmland continue to disappear. On the plus side, it is being used to help create alternative safe energy. It's better than big apartment complexes that only add to the population.
I agree with @olivetreeann and @prttblues . But how to stop it? we need it all . Great capture of the works and progress.
Yes, I did buy me this early this summer a Canon 700 D . I`ve mixed feelings about it. It`s difficult to learn ( and remember) all possibilities. But , and I `ve never thought about this: I get problems carry the camera and (two) lenses with me an afternoon. To heavy at last . So I often still use the small old one Nikon P50
@pyrrhula That is the reason why I use my Canon pocket camera for most of my pictures. the big Canon EOS Rebel XS with the two lenses is much too heavy even if you hang it around your head.
It is sad to see farmland go as the same thing is happening here to build houses and apartments and to widen roads. I am glad they are using this land for energy as that is needed. Love your collage, Bruni. I was reading above and agree with you, no carrying lots of lenses or heavy ones at that. My camera is big enough as it is. They give you so many features in one good size camera today.
