Doggy came to greet me by bruni

Doggy came to greet me

I tried to get to the Gym this morning, but we haven't put the snow tires on our vehicle yet and I slit all over the snowy road. the major roads where clear, but when I turned of onto a side street the gym is located on, I only made it up halfway up the incline and then the SUV slit back down again. I was determined to make it up the hill by given it a bit more gas, but to no avail. I had to back down again to the main road and decided not to pursue it any further. I turned around and drove home, hoping Hans would go and get the winter tires put on. too many other people had the same idea and he was told to come back tomorrow morning. Since I was dressed for exercise, I just added another layer of clothing, put on my winter boots, grabbed my gloves and the camera and went for my one mile fast walk outside in this cold weather. I saw a man walking his cute dog. then he stopped at one of the many parks along the waterfront to unlock the gate and let the dog of the leash. he took a run down to the lake, came back to the gate, saw me and turned around to run back to his master. it looks like he got a good workout this morning and I a great photo opportunity.
Good pictures and good story!

What an adorable pup, Bruni and you captured him perfectly! So sorry that the road to your gym wasn't cooperating. I got my winters with studs put on last Tuesday so I am prepared! My all seasons were getting bare. I hope you get your tires on soon. I'm glad you made it home okay and that you didn't get into an accident while sliding on the hill.

Yeah, not worth the risk if those back roads are slick

@digitalrn Rick, this was in town. it's just the snow came so unexpectedly and I guess the township wasn't prepared for it yet. must also say, our summer tires have had it and need to be replaced for next year. why we waited so long with putting the winter tires on is beyond both of us. I guess there is so much going on lately with Hans having to drive into Newmarket every morning for his radiation and both of us going to excercise 3 times a week beside that I've to walk a mile a day either indoors, treadmill at my daughter's (we don't have one) or going to the gymnasium. the gym hours interfere with Hans's appointments, so if weather permitting I rather walk oudoors.

I've seen pictures of various areas in the States and Canada on our national news! It looks seriously scary, please take care!
