First Christmas Gift by bruni

First Christmas Gift

What have we here. may I introduce my granddaughter. her name is Britney and she is showing off a Christmas. not an early one bc this picture is a filler from Christmas four years ago. I just happened to come across it and thought, although it's not as clear as I would like it, it still looks nice. you will a lot more of her come summer, as she is getting married in July. the filler today is bc Grace and I are taking a trip up to Bobcayeon to see her Dad and a quick stop over at her Brother's. they live 5 minutes apart. maybe I get some good photo opps while there.
Awesome shot

I'm sure this early Christmas gift will become a cherished part of her life with her hew husband. I like the soft focus--gives the photo a nostalgic feel.

@darsphotos Thank you Darlene, also for the fav.. we had a great time. unfortunately, only on our way home we ran into a problem. a good 45 minutes drive out of he town from where Bruce lives we came to the main road of another place and it was blocked off for an evening Christmas parade and there was no other way to get through. the wait would've been an hour or more and there were hundreds of cars parked on the road already before we came to this spot. so we had to turn around and go all the way back to Bobcaygeon, where we came from and from there take a different route. what would've taken us 1 1/2 hr drive from Bruce's house to our house took us now another two and 2 1/2 hr to finally got home, Grace had another 1/2 to get to her place. I'm sure if we knew the country roads better and if it hadn't dark already, we might've made it in less time.

@bruni It is too bad you did not know about this parade. There are so many festivities this time of the year. We ran into one while out yesterday, a lighting festivity. So glad my husband is able to get us around easily with his navigation skills. It is so hard to drive somewhere unfamiliar when it is dark. Glad you did not have to and got home safely.

What a beautiful girl. I hope you enjoyed your trip together (although I have just seen your note above about the arduous journey home!) I bet you can't wait for the wedding.
