When we saw a lot of construction at our park, we were wondering what was going on. I usually pass by there every time I go for a walk. I even stopped and talked to the workmen to get some information of what they were up to. took some pictures, but they didn't show very much yet.
So a few days ago I took this one. the area at the park was only grass with a view benches around and a special area for the kids with swings and other play things. now it looks like they divided the park into three parts. it starts with a driveway to the boat launching, then to the left of it is an area divided into sections by planting shrubs and flowers. a stream is meandering throughout and features small bridges to cross over. the dark patches you see will soon be sodded. the next area is what they call the Market Place. I'll take pictures of it when they have something planned like a bake sale or something like it. to the left of the M.P. is the area for the children. this area is not finished yet. I missed the opening for the summer season on Victoria Day. they had a BBQ and Fire Works. unfortunately I was sick and couldn't attend.
