Bird nest by bruni

Bird nest

After our bird house was once again robbed of the babies before they were full grown and ready to leave the nest, the sparrows abandoned it.
Hans took the door off the bird house and took the nest out so he could wash down the inside of it. I of course had to snap a picture of this amazing intricate looking "construction" of a nest.
Amazing the work that goes into building these nest. Interesting to see.

Nice capture. It is always interesting to see the things they use to build their nests.

How sad that all that effort was for nothing. As you say though such an intricate nest, looks so warm and cosy.

How sad. Who takes the babies, other birds? Love the nest. Nice shot, Bruni.

@darsphotos We've an awful lot of blackbirds and grackles around here and we see them peeking their heads into the opening of the birdhouse, pulling the nest apart and we assume that they snatch the little ones. we're constantly knocking on the window to chase them away, but you can't always be there and watch.

@bruni Nature only need two of them ( babies) in a life time to have a new generation . Great interesting shot of the nest.
