the upper picture is a future look of Davis Drive with the new VIVA Bus in the center of the road.
the whole length of Davis Drive was/is still under construction. first of all a lot of houses too close to the road where expropriated, some where lifted further back, the lanes were widened to two lanes each side and the center for the VIVA bus. bus stops were erected, two bridges over the road had to be reconstructed to go over the wider part now the 4 lanes instead of two. so all in all, the actual construction started in 2012 and is supposed to finally be finished by this coming December. 3 years in the works.
the bottom picture I took a few days ago. the half circle and the sky walk which takes you from the Hospital to the Medical Art Center or vise versa..
