It's getting on in the day and I still haven't got a picture taken, I think, I'll use this one. it was suppose to go into the halfandhalf for May. but since it's a collage, it did take it.
you can easily see what it is. a part of our living room cabinet. book on top left (mostly ones I brought with me when I immigrated in 1955. a picture underneath is quite old. I was about 13 at the time....the rest of the late family were my Dad, my Mom, my older sister and younger brother.
on the two right shelves gold rimmed beer tulip glasses Hans won in a yodeling competition, some sect glasses as well as small elegant liquor glasses and some shot glasses.
What a wonderful collage. It is nice to see inside your life a bit. You immigrated the year I was born. So nice to have the things you have from then and the old photo as well. I had no idea that Hans yodels. I would have had him do a bit when you were here. Love yodeling. Hope all is well with the two of you. I am doing ok. Cool weather that will warm to close to 100 on Sunday or Monday for at least a few days. Looks like Summer is close to arriving.
@darsphotos The difference a few day make. Wednesday and Thursday I had to take out my summer clothes, it was so hot and humid....last night and during the night it rained and this morning there is a difference of over 20 degrees. yesterday I had all my windows open as well as the entrance door downstairs and the two sliding doors to the deck. today the heat went on again.
we're busy getting rid of a lot of stuff. 4 huge industrial garbage bags are filled ready for pick up. donating to OFCP (Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy).there're no showings on the house. the market has slowed down with the new government regulations and what have you. we're just have to be patient. I haven't posted for a day or two..just too busy. will see if I've anything worth wile posting.
@bruni Today it was 93 and cools down at night. I feel for you and the humidity. We do not get much of that, more dry here. Lucky you to get rain. We ran the A/C tonight and looks like we will into next week. Will cool back to the 80's then.
What a wonderful place to donate to. Sounds like a lot of work. It will get better and I am sure someone will fall in love with your house and buy it. I have not posted in a while either. I will when I have something to post. I will check your photos and then off to sleep. Its late here. Have a wonderful weekend to you and Hans.
