Home sweet home

I thought I post a picture of our house. this picture was taken middle of May. it looks kind of bare.the flower boxes were just recently filled and the roses next to the box on the railing haven't started blooming yet and almost 4 month later they reached the overhang of the deck. they were beautiful, but all has come to an end. the art one came up again.

But this wasn't he reason why I posted this picture. it's for you the see that it's way to big for two people and why we 're trying to downsize.
What a pretty house, Bruni! But I know what you mean--we recently downsized. It was a chore, deciding what to keep, but it was worth it. Good luck!

@eudora Thank you Diane for your comment. yes, it's a chore. we're going through the process right now.
after 39 years we've to fix or renovate to make the house more presentable. so the days are very busy, I can't spend as much time on 365 as I used to and it get's late in the day and I realize I haven't posted a picture. so fillers come in handy these days.

This is a beautiful house with a wonderful entrance. The huge verandah signifies hot weather in the summer and the roof of that veranda is to be admired!

@maggiemae Thank you Maggiemae. my husband will like this comment. he built this house including the roof. it got to hot to sit out there, so he decided to add the roof. the entrance of our house is at the side right behind the kitchen overhang. you can't see it on this picture. there is only one delivery man who walks down the walkway and rings our bell. all other people climb the stairs and think our double set of sliding doors is the actual entrance. oh well.

I recognize different aspects of this house from your photos through the years. It must be emotional to think about leaving. Do you have another place already? If you do the work yourself now, you will have the knowledge of what things are. I was glad my mother was still alive when we went through her things so we could ask her, otherwise some meaningful things would have eluded us.

It's a beautiful home- and I'm sure you've filled it with a lot of memories too! I have been slowly going through the things we've collected through the years and am starting to give some of it away now. Other things go off to charity. It's a big undertaking! I hope yours goes along well.

You have a beautiful home, Bruni. Nice to see it here. I hope you can sell and find a place that you both will be happy with. Meantime it is nice to get things done and clean out what you do not want. Doing this again here as it seems to never end.
