At our medical centre

I had to go for a breathing test and while I waited for him to come in, I took a quick picture. This was a check up to see if my breathing became more labored. the picture was taken yesterday and today I went to get the results.. I'm the same as last time, normal he said. so why the heck am I so out of breath when I climb 6 steps or walk up the slightest incline.
I feel for you, Bruni! We take for granted a deep, satisfying breath until we can't do it anymore. At least you are not "stuck with constipation," as one of the wall posters describes.

We are not as young as we used to be. We must take care of ourselves and slow down a little

I know how you feel. I have COPD and now asthma so I too run out of breath easily, specially when walkingg uphill. The hospital has referred me to the cold exercise class and choir (SYLO or Sing Your Lungs Out) once a week each. I also go to ukulele group on Tues nights and have a good old sing along.
Anyway, your photo makes me think of my regular checkups. Good reminder for me

@georgews Thanks George for the mention of SYLO. there'll be a lot of singing in our home from now on. my hubby has COPD as well and takes an Advair 250 puffer twice daily. then at his last check up, his doctor told him about a device called Aerobika . we're both using it. if you con't know about it, you might like to goggle it.

Well, I hope they can figure out what's causing the breathing difficulties. Getting air into the lungs is so important- we don't realize how much until we can't get enough of it.
