Hans bought me a tablet just before my daughter, Grace and I went on our last cruise in June. He took a few shots to try the camera out. I never saw this picture before and last night, for some reason, he went through the earlier pictures and showed me this one. he transferred it to my computer and I thought, I share it with you. not so much for my picture, as for the shot of his strong homemade mint liqueur. (you can make it as weak or strong as you like it). it taste best ice cold out of our freezer.
Recipe:
Take a 26 fl ounce bottle, mix 1 cup of sugar with 10 to 11 drops of mint extract and then fill up the rest of the bottle with vodka.
shake the bottle and let stand. keep on shaking the bottle periodically
until the sugar is completely dissolved. at that time, place the bottle in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator. so yummy. I just take tiny little sips.
