At the time this picture was taken and I took it just now from the internet, they had 68,000 homes in Toronto without power and two death ysterday.
Hans and I were coming home from Newmarket and because we bought some ice cream on the way, we took the faster route home by going on the 404 highway. what a mistake. the strong wind just pushed our car from our
lane into the one next to us. traffic was very very slow. had we taken the city roads from Newmarket to Keswick, it might've been even worse. all the trafftic lights were out and it was rush hour, so a lot of cars were on the roads going bumper to bumper.
Grace, our Doughter called us when she got finally home from work on account of no traffic lights she left work at 5 pm that day and not getting home within her usual 20 minutes. it took her over an hour and then she found out, she also had no power.
This morning we heard from our neighours a bit further down the road towards the lake, that three trees tipped over from the horrendous storm last night and today some other trees had to be removed. I took some pictures and will upload one a bit later in my other album.
What a horrible storm, Bruni! I am so glad that you are alright and didn't get in an accident on your way home. Wind can be so dangerous. I will wait on your next pictures.
