we took these pictures while on vacation in Germany in 2010 where we visited the town of Cologne. I guess by now everyone has seen some sweetheart locks. they've become so popular over the years.
On the left you see part of the fenced in railroad bride covered with sweetheart locks and then a small close up to the right.
Love locks are a nice idea but I am glad the popularity has dwindled. They do a lot of damage and fences have had to be replaced here because of the weight of the locks.
