1. You can buy them in packs of three. They have very little chocolate, so if you like a lot of chocolate (like OrangeBot does) you will need at least three.
2. You will find that each hollow chocolate egg is wrapped in foil which has been made harder and harder to remove in one piece (even if you have FutureBot powers).
3. (This is GreenBots favourite bit) - Smash the egg to bits and eat all the chocolate. Once you have done this, you will find a small plastic egg. By squeezing the sides this will pop open to reveal your fantastic toy (or rubbish throwing thing).
we're not allowed to have these in the USA... they're illegal, and there's a huge fine if you try to smuggle one in. something about a law from the 1930's regarding non edible items in food. (its also why King cakes around Mardi Gras don't have a little plastic baby inside unless you put it there yourself). It makes me sad, because I want a Kinder Surprise cuz I'm a big kid inside :)
@bankmann@gphelps5 I feel that I have reached a new level of education on 365 now, thanks to you both! The only thing is that I am GREEN with envy. . .not for the chocolate but I do covet those gay bulldogs. ;-> I feel another European trip coming on. . . can I buy them in Ireland??!
I love these and am always pleased and excited by the little toy inside - I buy them for the grandchildren of course . . . I particularly like the instruction sheets. And I love this shot Bulldog, is this where the gay bulldog originally came from?
Excellent!! Love how you've explained and shot it, and of course now I have to go and get one for myself. They come in packs of threes..... there are three of us in the house.... hm. Better hide two. =)
@jsw0109 that stinks Jeff...you'll have to come up to Canada and eat a bunch to get your chance at a gay bulldog! lol I thought you had cracker- jacks with their toy inside!
This is wonderful fun Bulldog!
@lynnb Cracker Jack haven't had actual toys inside for a long time. They do have something non edible in the box though... I wonder why they can do that but we can't have Kinder Surprise?
Where do you live?? Your wrappers look different to ours! My boys get one of these each almost every time we go to the supermarket... I like them cos it's not a lot of choc and they like them cos they get some choc. I've been collecting the toys inside for myself to maybe use in my Canon Photo5 shot hahaha.
I live in Buckinghamshire, UK - these are the only type we get but I know my son got some in plastic cases from France.
You shuold line them all up and take a shot, I know a few people would like to see them.
@gphelps5 lol I have HEAPS at the moment. We get 2 types... the eggs like you have above but the wrapper is different and we also get ones that are Toy Story ones... the chocolate doesn't have the white layer and they're all Toy Story toys, so I have basically every character lol.
I've liked Kinder chocolate since I first tasted it. The figurines and toys are as fun for grown ups as they are for kids. Since Bulldog got me started on my 'saga' about Esmeralda, The Bookshelf Pirate Princess, I've been eating way too much of it. I need a larger box for the toys... ;-p The Norwegian wrapping is pretty much like the British.
@bankmann I'm not sure I can take the shots like you do of them... just had a little look... nicely done. It's funny, I was going to line them up yesterday lol. There used to be a lot more but I threw out the junky stuff haha... I have mostly Toy Story figurines.... the weather isn't great today, so maybe today might be your lucky day... see how I go, busy day ahead :)
Ha ha, you should both line then all up and take a shot of them (and you Pat).
I used to have hundreds but I have only just started collecting them again and I got a bit annoyed that all I appeared to get was the 'rubbish throwing thing', like the one under the Elephant in this shot.
@gphelps5 Could do indeed. Which reminds me... I hid an egg to get a shot of to show you the wrapper of the Toy Story one... they didn't have any normal ones left in the shop today... my kids must've eaten them all lol.

@bankmann
@jsw0109 - That is a great shame Jeff, I will have to have another one for you.
@lyno - Ha ha ha, no problem Lyn, I am sure you will get them in Ireland.
@tishpics - They are fun Pat and yes this is where the gay bulldog came from.
@ruthmouch - Thanks Ruth
@filsie65 - I would suggest you hide two, these should be a selfish indulgence and not shared!
