Close Ups of Woody by bulldog

Close Ups of Woody

These shots, took me in far too long to get. The little git would not stand still!

- Top left: the actual size of woody (about 6mm long)
- Bottom left: one of the front feelers
- Bottom right: detail of the side plates
- Top right: his cute little eye.

Alternative, larger shot: http://365project.org/bulldog/365/2013-01-07
Great attempt, poor Woody, maybe he was camera shy!!

I love the use of the word "git" - it's not one that's in normal usage in America English, but it just fits so many places. . .this one in particular!

You are brave....can't stand creepy crawlies. I would need a zoom lens to get that close lol. However a really cool macro...the photos are amazing.

Wow. Your really got close in to Woody. Good macro shots. I don't think Woody wanted to have his pictures taken.

Brilliant Bulldog, I find this fascinating! Reminds me of the first time I used my childhood microscope and focussed in on a nettle's sting - just amazing! This is much more interesting. The eye is a revelation, multi-faceted like a fly, the detail is incredible. Great present Mrs Bulldog!!

When I was trying to take pics of a tick one time, I tried holding it with tweezers in the air, but I couldn't keep the hand holding the tweezers AND the one holding the camera steady enough for the lighting situation. Did you consider holding him still with tweezers?
