Pig

Hi 365 and all of you who love 'The Pig'. You have all been so kind when I have posted pictures of the Pig and I thought I would let you have a little update.
We have had a tricky week, in and out of the vets as Pig has been unable to keep food or water down. After finally being rushed to a specialist up in Bedfordshire, we were pleased to be able to bring her home again last night.
Much to her enjoyment, she has been poked, prodded and shaved while she has been on her little holiday, but this has proved that she has a condition called Megaesophagus, which means she is unable to swallow.
This means that she has to eat and drink, sitting up but by the looks of this photo (being served breakfast while sitting in Mrs B's best beanbag), I think she may be laughing at me?
That is quite upsetting to know and you have to deal with it but your love for Pig will help both you and her!

So sorry to hear about Pig's condition .Poor little girl. Good to know she can manage swallowing while sitting up and surely Mrs. B doesn't mind about the beanbag, she'd even go out and fetch whatever to help the poor Pig.

Must have been quite a traumatic experience for you all. At least you now know what the problem is and can make plans on how to move forward. I hope everyone settles into a routine without too much fuss and bother.

Poor baby!! Give her a hug from me!

She looks like she owns this chair! Poor thing, though...although I bet she somewhat enjoys having the attention at every single meal.

Poor Pig...but she should enjoy the special attention for a while...I hope you all recover quickly...is this something that will settle with time or will it be a lifetime worry?

Hope she is feeling better now :)

Oh poor little Pig...I hope she is feeling ok 'in herself' and getting used to her new sedentary mealtimes. Ouch on the inevitable ghastly vets bills.
