They are reading Fluke, one of the books from last night. It is the story about a dog who thinks he's a man, or is it about a man who thinks he's a dog?
Pig is a mongrel rescue dog type thing but there is a bit of terrier in her.

Bulldog! Where did these big fluffy toys come from? Are they waiting on your bed for you each night? Or do you have another, bigger 'sock drawer'?! So, so cosy and funny and love their choice of bedtime reading!

Thanks Livia, the smaller bulldog is actually mine and sits in the corner of the bedroom, on guard. The big brown one is the dogs, it lays on their dog bed and they snuggle up to it (or tear all the fluff out of it).
