Nov 06: 'Patriotism'

England.. For some reason I love the place...
It would have been nice to take a new shot of my local pub "The Royal Standard' but unfortunately that closed down about two years ago and I have done a shot of that.

So here we have another traditional English Pub called "The George & Dragon", right next to a traditional English restaurant "The Prince of India" in a small village (sorry Alison, massive village) called Wendover in Buckinghamshire.

Yea Olde Royal Standard: http://365project.org/gphelps5/365/2012-09-11
Union flag? Whatever happened to the Union Jack? Things aren't how they used to be... well found.

It's interesting how the flag is a symbol that brings out all the patriotism out of us! Nice capture, Graham.

Love the traditional pub next to the traditional Indian restaurant, it's so true! We Brits love Indian food as much as our traditional ales! Great find!

An inviting looking British pub complete with flag - what more could you want?

Oi! Who are you calling small? I'll have you know there's about 7,700 of us; that's pretty big as villages go. ;-)
The George and Dragon itself does Thai food, btw. :-)
Really nicely done, love the perspective. And what could be more patriotic than the Union Flag and an English pub with that name?
