So today is another ripe-off commercial day, sorry Valentines Day.
As I tell Mrs B that I love her every day, Valentines day is not so special two us, but we did get a £20 M&S Meal Deal for tonight, we both brought each other Toblerone and I splashed out on a new Missie Monster for her. Say hello to 'Tiamo'.

I agree...every day should be Valentines Day. My new dishwasher went in yesterday, and is getting the plumbing connection tomorrow. I'm pretty happy bout that!

Phew I'm pleased I'm not the only one - really dislike the over-commercialisation (is that a word). Price of flowers goes up at least 10 fold. We've done the same as Anazad :)
Every day is Valentine's Day for us, too. If the day was observed by eating lima beans, I'd say to forget it. But, chocolate--yes, please and lots of it. LOL
My dad (who died some years ago) always used to send me and my sister a Valentine Card every single year and I really miss that now. He never, ever admitted it was from him but he was not very good at disguising his hand-writing! Satisfyingly large stash of chocolate Bulldog - enjoy your meal and that nice wine tonight!! Couldn't agree with you more. I tell my husband never to buy me flowers on Valentine's Day--the prices the florists charge are ridiculous. He loves me every day and I know it!!!! Hope you and Mrs. B have a wonderful evening.

It's our 10th Wedding Anniversary today and I had some lovely flowers. I didnt know what to get Steve but when I was in Sainsbury's someone was buying a pavlova with fresh cream & strawberries, a chocolate heart and a gingerbread heart for her hubby so I did the same and he was pleased with it but I think you are quite right, it is about how you treat each other all year round not on one day of the year. You don't have to spend fortunes to show each other your love! Btw nice capture
Agreed. If a relationship hinges on whether one person got another person flowers or not on a certain day, then maybe that relationship needs to be examined a little bit closer.
Hope you enjoyed your M&S meal. It was crazy in our local M&S store so I popped to JS next door and got a Valentine's meal x 2 as 3 of us live in this house!! Lovely happy cheerful colourful shot!
Thanks again for all your lovely comments and thoughts, I am so glad it's not just me who feels that loving someone is a full time thing and not just for the 14th Feb.
My dear husband decided not to buy me chocolate (even though I bought him ginger chocolate) - he bought me a book on digital photography which I thought was really sweet.
