Two reasons why this photo could fit todays word:

1. I had to go for a walk at lunch time to let off steam.

2. The water is 'steaming' out of the bottom of the lock gate.

The lock and the canal is a great subject nicely done. Phones are very good at taking great photos theses days so its is not a reason for an apology. Maybe an october theme word should be "an uninspired phone photo"?
