Jan 28: Coffee

"Fail"

So to cut a short story long...
After last night success, Mrs B has left me to go out with some work mates for dinner. This meant I was at home with what was left from last nights shot (the remaining cream) and todays word 'Coffee/Tea'.
As tea is for girls (sorry Andy Atwork), I thought tonight would be a good time for an Irish Coffee floater with 365 stencilled on top by putting the numbers on top of the floating cream, sprinkling chocolate power over and then removing the numbers.
Oh well, this was more like a sinker! I blame it on the fact I only have posh Scotch Whiskey and it simply should not be mixed with anything.
To end the story, it tasted ok... but I needed a straight 'Wee Dram' to wash it down.

Cheers!
Love Irish coffee. Mine always turns out like that. I always tell myself it's the taste that counts.

Looks... delicious? ;)

You had an Irish coffee AND a wee dram afterwards -- That does not sound like a failure to me !!! I love Irish Coffee and this is a nice presentation whether the coffee is neatly decorated or not -- Shall have to go to the kitchen to see what I can conjure up !!

For the sake of your art I think you should have another go at this. Tips:
1 stir the coffee to warm the spoon
2 gently pour in the cream over the back of the spoon
3 I would have made a stencil of the 365 so you just get the numbers in chocolate powder.
I would try it myself but I just like black coffee!

Thanks Hazel but...
1. I did that
2. I did that
3. I did that but the centre fell out of the 6 and I cut off one of the inside bits of the 3
4? I also prefer it black, like my... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEVTQHiAQRA

I did notice the Edradour which is malt whisky! Never mixed with anything but water! But your coffee looks delicious. Great composition!

ooh now I wish I'd made a coffee today.

I would try it too Bulldog but I'd hate to contaminate good Whiskey... or Irish liquor with coffee. Give me the drink straight up and the coffee straight up. Maybe I will try it with a hot chocolate for Danbo cause I wont feel bad about tipping that down the drain when I'm done playing. Nice shot you got even if you thought it was a sinker :)
